Garden Houses

Garden Houses

Coupdeville were commissioned to design a scheme of none new homes as party of the Woodcote Neighbourhood plan.
The existing garden centre on the site was no longer commercially viable so the site was put forward to meet a portion of the Woodcote obligation to provide sites for new homes.

The site was allocated for 9 homes and had to include the required parking, amenity and a public footpath. 4 of the houses were provided as affordable units and the mix of units was dictated by the villages requirements for smaller homes.
The site was laid out so the houses were arranged in clusters to encourage integration between neighbours. The design of the houses drew on the timber clad rural building prevalent in the village and draw strongly on the Barn typology.
